Weekly Update - Oct 17

Here is the weekly wrap up from last week at #yegcc

On Tuesday, Community and Public Services heard an update on the Housing and Encampment Response Strategy. Thank you to all the speakers for sharing their experiences and testimony. We heard powerful reminders that the only true response to encampments is adequate housing for those who need it. This is something I will continue to focus on.

At Exec, we heard updates on Blatchford. I’m excited by the take-off (pun intended!) we’re seeing in the neighbourhood and can’t wait for more affordable housing options to come. I also moved to look at expanding district energy to bring more green energy to nearby communities
