Anne is passionate about building an equitable city that serves all residents. Following an undergraduate in international development and economics, she went on to complete a masters in urban design. After ten years of working and traveling abroad, Anne was thrilled to return to her hometown of Edmonton in 2012. She spent seven years working in the planning department at the City of Edmonton and then joined the Right at Home Housing Society where she focused on providing affordable housing solutions to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Anne currently lives in Oliver with her partner and daughter, and is thrilled to be representing Ward O-day’min on Edmonton City Council.

STRONGER.

The past two years have taught us about the amazing resilience of our community. But it’s also shown us where there are gaps in our systems. Anne believes we need to build our city in a way that ensures we can be resilient in the face of future challenges. Anne is focused on:

  • Prioritizing housing affordability for all

  • Taking decisive climate action

  • Supporting a diversified economy and mobility network to create choice and adaptability

SMARTER.

It’s easy to imagine what we want our ward to be in the future - connected, vibrant, livable. But it will take a lot of strategic and thoughtful decision-making to get us there. To build an even better community and realize the incredible potential of our ward and city, Anne is focused on:

  • Taking data-driven decisions informed by effective community consultation

  • Breaking down budget silos to find systems savings and consider full lifecycle costs of infrastructure

  • Championing changes that support the 15 minute city

TOGETHER.

None of us can thrive if all of us can’t thrive. Anne is committed to creating an equitable city where we all have access to the services, supports, and amenities we need as individuals and as a community. To achieve a truly inclusive ward, Anne is focused on:

  • Investing in public spaces where we can connect with each other and with nature

  • Working consistently towards reconciliation through better relationships with our Treaty partners

  • Promoting community wellness to improve neighbourhood safety
