Weekly Update - Nov 14

Happy Monday and welcome to the Weekly Roundup!

Last week City Council was on recess and I spent the week curled up with the budget. There are some exciting investments in problem properties, reconciliation and Edmonton downtown but more I’d like to see for housing, transit, safety, and climate change - knowing taxes, affordable ones too!

I’ll be putting my budget thoughts together in a blog and would love to hear about your priorities - please reach out to me at anne.stevenson@edmonton.ca anytime and don’t forget you can sign up to speak for the non-statutory public hearing starting Thursday! Link is here.

Even though things were quiet at Council, there was a big announcement in the region - the federal and provincial governments have committed $461M to support the construction of the largest hydrogen production facility in the world!

Hope everyone has a great week ahead!
