Anne is an urban planner who is passionate about building an equitable city that serves all residents. Following an undergraduate in international development and economics, she went on to complete a masters in city design. After ten years of working and traveling abroad, Anne was thrilled to return to her hometown of Edmonton in 2012. She spent seven years at the City of Edmonton and then worked with the Right at Home Housing Society to provide affordable housing solutions to meet the diverse needs of our community.
She is thrilled to be representing Ward O-day’min on Edmonton City Council.

Anne understands how the system works.
Anne served in leading roles at the City of Edmonton from 2012-2019 and gained a deep understanding of the people and processes that shape our city. Anne also has eight years of experience as both Board President and staff member of the Right At Home Housing Society which has provided her with an in-depth understanding of how we can work together to tackle housing affordability.
Anne has the experience to make change happen.
Anne has been a leader in multiple organizations, from small grassroots initiatives to a multi-million dollar agency. She knows the importance of collaboration and informed decision making, and how to make hard choices in challenging situations. Anne’s 15 year career in city planning has also given her an understanding of the many systems that create a city, from sewers to social services, and how each of these elements contribute to creating successful communities.

Anne is a proud Edmontonian with deep roots in O-day’min. She lives in Oliver with her partner and daughter, and her work takes her to neighbourhoods across the ward. She is an active volunteer and loves taking in the many great amenities that our ward has to offer. Anne is passionate about creating public conversation about the issues that matter most and has spoken at Edmonton NextGen’s PKN, the University of Alberta’s International Week, Nerd Nite, and contributed to local podcasts like Speaking Municipally.
